The real estate sector has “rebounded significantly” in the Penedès region (with municipalities in Barcelona and Tarragona) during the first half of 2022, according to data from the Associació de Promoters de Catalunya (Apce).
Apce, CaixaBank and the town hall of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona) analyzed it this Wednesday in Vilanova during the debate “Anoia, Penedès and Garraf: challenges and opportunities in the real estate sector”, reported Apce and CaixaBank in a joint statement .
Specifically, in the first half of this year, 630 homes were started in the Penedès region and 414 were completed.
As for home sales, both new and used, this year has seen some of the “highest” numbers in recent years, including pre-pandemic ones.
The director general of Apce, Marc Torrent, highlighted the “good production data” of the houses registered in the Penedès in the first half: 78 started in Vilanova, 18 in El Vendrell (Tarragona), 59 in Igualada and 34 in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona).
