We have bad news for fans of pirate games who thought they would soon get their hands on Ubisoft’s long-awaited game. It’s been over five years since it was announced, but it looks like it will take even longer. After new rumors emerged that Skull and bones would be postponed, Ubisoft confirmed them in an official statement and revealed the game’s new release date.
What is the new release date for Skull and bones after being postponed?
The company states on its official blog that it will no longer release the game on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The new release date will be March 9, 2023.
According to the release, the reason for the postponement is that the development team is still working hard to polish and balance the game. They had to postpone it to “ensure they will deliver the best experience possible.”
We have already waited half a decade. I guess we can wait a few more months.
This news comes amid much turbulence at Ubisoft. Despite their senior executives’ commitment to addressing workplace and sexual harassment and abuse in their offices, a group of employees say they haven’t done enough and that very problematic people continue to occupy management positions in the company.
