After two years of early access on PC and Xbox, Grounded released its 1.0 update yesterday, September 27. Obsidian, the game’s developer, described this release as “the full game”, which players can now complete and where the “full story” can be accessed.
The story will give us the opportunity to find out how the characters in the game became miniature characters and give us the opportunity to “finish” the game once we have completed our tasks.
In addition to the end of the plot, there are several new features in this version 1.0: a brand new garden space, for example, which has a complex tunnel system and new “angry insects” to fight. We can also get new items.
There are new secret laboratories that we can find in the rest of the maps, and new creatures such as the tiger mosquito, moths and ticks. New bosses have been added in the story and an inventory system that allows us to better organize our backpack.
The weapon and armor upgrade system has also been expanded, now allowing us to upgrade weapons to level +9.
